The Local Loop pulls coverage from the following outlets. A story is only published as a multi-source overview when at least two of these sources are independently covering the same event.

The label after each outlet is its political-lean rating, drawn from third-party media-rating organizations — AllSides and Media Bias/Fact Check — not our own assessment. Center means those raters place an outlet in the middle of the US spectrum; it is not a claim that the outlet is unbiased. Outlets whose audience is primarily outside the US are marked International rather than forced onto the US axis, and outlets without a third-party rating are shown as Unrated rather than guessed. These ratings power the “coverage spread” bar shown on every story — see About for how that works.
