Spain and Argentina will face off in the FIFA Men’s World Cup final on Sunday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The match concludes the 2026 World Cup, which was hosted across three countries over five weeks and featured more than 100 matches. Argentina is the defending champion, while Spain advanced to the final after defeating France.
Spain’s participation in the final marks a potential historic moment for the country. If the men’s team wins, Spain would become the first nation to win both the men’s and women’s World Cup trophies back-to-back, following the women’s team’s first World Cup victory in 2023. The final will feature notable players including Lionel Messi for Argentina and young prospect Lamine Yamal for Spain.
FIFA will award Super Bowl-style championship rings to the World Cup winners for the first time. Of the 2,026 rings being produced, 1,996 will be available for fans to purchase. The match will be broadcast in the United States on Fox, Fox One, and in Spanish on Telemundo, as well as via the Fox Sports app and Peacock. The halftime show, scheduled to begin around 3:45 PM ET, is expected to run approximately 11 minutes.
