Monsoon storms moved through the Phoenix Valley on Tuesday morning, bringing rainfall and lightning to parts of the region. Multiple sources reported that the storms delivered measurable precipitation to various areas, providing relief through much-needed rain during the dry season.

The storms caused significant disruptions across the Valley. Power outages affected thousands of utility customers throughout the region, with reports indicating at least 2,000 customers without power in Mesa. The storms also prompted a brief ground stop at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, disrupting flight operations during the early morning hours.

While the storms brought rainfall to portions of the Valley, coverage varied across different areas, with some locations receiving more measurable precipitation than others as the weather system moved through the region.
