Actor and musician Jared Leto has been accused of sexual assault by four women in interviews for a BBC documentary. According to reports, the women claim the alleged misconduct occurred when they were teenagers.
The New York Post reported on details from the BBC documentary, noting that one accuser described a “disturbing request” from Leto and claimed he dismissed a discussion about California’s age of consent laws. CBS News confirmed the allegations, reporting that four women have come forward in the BBC interviews to describe what they characterize as criminal sexual conduct.
The allegations represent the first time multiple accusers have spoken publicly about Leto on the record in a major documentary project. Leto has not yet publicly responded to these specific allegations.
