Actor Dean Cain recently spoke about what he perceives as a decline in “woke” cultural influence within Hollywood. According to reports from Fox News and the New York Post, Cain suggested that the era of political and social activism in the entertainment industry may be coming to an end, characterizing such an era negatively in retrospect.
Cain emphasized traditional values, positioning the archetypal superhero character as representative of small-town American ideals. He argued that the wokeness movement in Hollywood proved counterproductive to the industry’s success and cultural influence.
The actor also commented on the broader state of the film industry, stating that “Hollywood’s dying” and noting his own departure from California three years ago. He suggested that the exodus of people from the state reflects larger challenges facing the entertainment sector.
