I created The Local Loop to fix a problem I kept running into: reading one article on one site left me with only part of the picture, and a different outlet would often tell a noticeably different version of the same story. I wanted to see the full picture — not by picking a side, but by pulling together what multiple outlets actually report and laying it out clearly in one place.

I want you to read one overview and actually understand what’s happening — without hopping between five different sites or wondering what you’re missing. I link every source directly on each article, so if you want to go deeper or read it straight from the original outlet, you’re one click away — you never have to just take our word for it.

I’m still building this, and I’m actively working to solve a real problem: how hard it is to get real clarity on a story when every outlet tells it a little differently. I’ll keep improving it as I learn what works, and I genuinely welcome your feedback.

I run The Local Loop as a small, independent project — not a newsroom with reporters on the ground. I curate and synthesize existing reporting from established outlets rather than producing original reporting myself. Every article names its sources and links back to them, so you can verify anything for yourself.
