Ukrainian Drones Strike Russian Targets, Killing Multiple Civilians

Moscow, Russia

Ukrainian drone attacks on Russia resulted in at least 8 deaths and dozens of injuries, according to Russian officials. The strikes targeted logistics and warehouse facilities, with local officials reporting that a Moscow logistics centre sustained casualties during a night shift, killing seven workers and wounding 24 others.

Russia’s mayor claimed that approximately 370 drones were used in the larger-scale attack on Saturday, with most being intercepted or “neutralised” by Russian air defenses. Russian officials characterized the targets as civilian retail and logistics warehouses.

Ukrainian officials provided a different account of the strikes, stating that the attacked sites were military facilities used for drone manufacturing rather than civilian locations. Kyiv has characterized its attacks on Russian territory as legitimate retaliation for Moscow’s four-year military campaign in Ukraine.
