Epstein survivors met with Todd Blanche, the attorney general nominee for the Trump administration, earlier this week. The meeting was arranged following pressure from Republican Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina, who holds a key vote in Blanche’s confirmation process.

Following the meeting, survivors shared critical assessments of the encounter. Survivor Dani Bensky characterized the meeting as a “check-the-box” exercise intended to secure votes for confirmation. Similarly, survivor Jess Michaels stated she left the meeting “disappointed, disturbed and undaunted,” describing her emotional response to the interaction.

The meetings represent an intersection of the confirmation process and advocacy by survivors seeking engagement on their concerns. Blanche agreed to meet with the survivors, indicating willingness to participate in discussions with this constituency, though the survivors’ public comments suggest dissatisfaction with the substance or approach of the meeting.
