In January 2026, he pleaded guilty to reckless driving and an unclassified no-license charge and was sentenced to five days in jail. According to a Cincinnati police officer cited by CBS Sports, one of the incidents involved Taylor-Britt driving recklessly after a Bengals game while pedestrians were still nearby. That incident dates back to September 2025.
Taylor-Britt’s background and 2025 season
Taylor-Britt, 26, was Cincinnati’s 60th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. He started as a rookie and helped the Bengals reach the AFC Championship Game that season. He posted a career-high four interceptions in 2023 and added three more in 2024, establishing himself as a regular contributor in the Bengals’ secondary. His 2025 season was cut short: he made just two starts in eight games before suffering a season-ending Lisfranc injury in a Week 11 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Move to Indianapolis
Taylor-Britt signed a one-year deal with the Colts as a free agent this offseason. In Indianapolis he is reunited with defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, who held the same role in Cincinnati during Taylor-Britt’s first three seasons. In Anarumo’s first year running Indianapolis’ defense, the unit ranked 21st in points allowed, 31st in passing yards allowed, 7th in rushing yards allowed, 26th on third down, and 11th in red-zone defense, per CBS Sports.

Taylor-Britt is barred from the Colts’ Week 1 matchup against the Ravens but remains available for the rest of training camp, preseason games, and the regular season starting in Week 2.
