US President Donald Trump hosted separate White House meetings with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on July 28-29, 2026. Both leaders expressed positive outcomes from their talks with Trump. Zelenskyy described the meeting as a “good meeting” and discussed joint production of Patriot missiles in Ukraine to strengthen air defenses against Russian attacks. Netanyahu met with Trump for what was described as a record seventh White House visit.
The back-to-back meetings came as both countries face ongoing military conflicts. Ukraine continues its war with Russia, while Israel is involved in a conflict described as a war on Iran. Both leaders sought to advance their military and diplomatic priorities with the US administration.
The Trump-Netanyahu meeting was held without media presence, according to some reports. Reports indicate that Netanyahu had sought to avoid a high-profile diplomatic moment similar to what Zelenskyy achieved during his meeting, according to diplomats Jeffrey Feltman and Michael Ratney cited by sources. Trump characterized both meetings positively in public statements.
