Amid the diplomatic pause, U.S. officials face growing concerns about depleting munitions supplies needed for sustained operations. The conflict has now lasted approximately five months, marking a significant duration of engagement between the two nations.
Public perception of the conflict shows considerable skepticism about the administration’s preparedness. A CBS News/YouGov poll of over 2,100 respondents found that nearly 8 in 10 Americans believe the Trump administration has encountered more difficulty managing the war than it initially expected. About 20 percent of poll respondents stated that the conflict has proceeded about as smoothly as the administration anticipated.
